The Sopranos: Season 1

I didn’t really connect with this show, I found it very difficult to get into and feel any tie to the characters or situations. I did love the concept of an all powerful mafia man being driven to therapy by his family and there are some amazingly powerful ideas, images and concepts in the show. But I had great difficulty telling characters apart, understanding what was being said/meant and summoning the will to really care. I think this is a really good show, just sadly not my thing.

DVD Special Features
The season 1 set had an astonishingly boring commentary and interview and a pretty pathetic featurette that looked to be straight off of an extended advert on tv. The interview with the creator is an impressive hour and a bit long, but I found it so dull I gave up 15 minutes in.
