It’s a pretty action packed start to the season with only a couple of ‘regular’ episodes, ie normal-ish murders with no gimmicks or big character issues that would originally have been slightly important episode, but these days are pure filler. Within the span of just a few episodes two of the csi’s had been involved in crimes!

That said, I enjoyed watching the episodes, the characters seem comfortable with each other and I like their interactions and the way they continue to develop and change. I like the more stylish episodes where they play about with the format – Toe Tags being the stand out here. I found the miniature killer fascinating, the combination of the team investigating the scene while Grissom investigates the model, very tidy. I look forward to the second half of the season.
